By combining the Airtail technology with the IAS technology progressive suspension created the ultimate rear suspension.
Using the same design concept as Progressive Suspensions AirTail system for Softails, the AirTail I.A.S. incorporates a coil spring system with a dual chambered air shock giving the rider total and independent control of ride firmness and ride height. Designed to improve handling performance and to give the rider more control at any ride height, the AirTail I.A.S. uses the Inertia Active System damping technology just like our top of the line 440 Series shocks. The Inertia Active System with Inertia Valve technology separates wheel movement from chassis movement. With the ride height adjustable air and coil shock system, progressive once again combines outstanding performance and great looks with the AirTail I.A.S.

suspension firmness. This translates to the ideal ride height, without any sort of compromise in ride quality. Also available with on-board compressor allowing for on-the-fly tuning.
